CEO/Founder
Richard Juarez
Richard Juarez is a retired Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Special Agent and Air Force veteran. During his Special Agent career, Richard was assigned to the U.S./Mexico border and was involved in several critical incidents-which highlighted the necessity for medical training when operating in remote, high-threat environments. In response, Richard began a personal journey to obtain extensive emergency medical training, in his off-duty hours and at his own expense, to drive cultural change within the agency regarding tactical planning and the need to not only be ready to "stop the threat," but also "treat the wound." Richard is an advocate for medical preparedness in all aspects of daily living and brings to the classroom a wealth of valuable lessons he's learned during his career of integrating emergency medicine in the tactical environment.
Prior to HSI, Richard served as an officer in the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations in Japan and Germany. He is a United States Air Force Academy graduate and holds a Masters degree in International Relations. Richard's academic background focused on Middle East studies & Arabic- which later proved useful in his military career conducting offensive counterterrorism operations.
Richard is a proud husband, and father of three beautiful children. Outside the classroom, he enjoys running their small family farm, where they incorporate regenerative agriculture principles to grow quality produce and raise healthy livestock.
